If up against all-rounders (Space Marines for example) then use common snese. With the enemy not knowing what the heck has hit them you can send in Guardsmen with medium or long range wargear to finish them off before sending the whole army in to end the war. If you are up against ranged units (Eldar for example) the use Basilisks to bombard their front lines and cause confusion and chaos.
Hellhounds take down structures easily aswell.Ģ.
Use Hellhounds and Chimera's to eliminate any excess enemy units and Leman Russes to take down the threat from vehicles. Also uprgade half the guardsmen with plasma pistols and half with grenade launchers and add Comissars to to the guardsmen squads. Like the Space Marine Terminators and The Chaos Obliterators they are made to be support units, supporting the units lower than them. Use Kasrkins and Ogryns often but don't use them as an alternative to Guardsmen. They have the lowest morale out of any units and will get mowed down by anything that moves and fires a gun.
